What's included / not included in the price:

All yurts are supplied with ample bedding (quilts and pillows, and extra blankets in winter) and bedlinen (sheets and pillowcases). For stays of more than 7 nights, bedlinen is changed weekly*. Cleaning at the end of your stay is included in the price for stays of 1 week or longer; for stays of less than 1 week there is a cleaning charge (20 euros Mongolian Yurt, 15 euros Woodland Yurt, 10 euros Pixie Yurt). Use of communal facilities (kitchen caravan, composting toilet, solar shower, and swimming pool) is included in the price. All yurts have solar electricity and there are water taps located near the yurts - please use these responsibly! Towels are not provided, but if you don't want to bring your own we can supply them for 5 euros per person per week.

Payment Details

A non refundable deposit of 50% of the price is payable upon confirmation of booking when an invoice/receipt will be issued. The remainder is payable 28 days before the start of the holiday and a final receipt will be issued along with directions to the quinta and any additional information about your holiday.

Arrival / Departure

Your yurt will be ready for you from 3pm on your day of arrival, and we ask that you please vacate your yurt before 11am on your day of departure.

My first experience with yurts and permaculture was at Quinta das Abelhas ... it was a new world, to see how the old terraces of Central Portugal had become a huge, integrated "outdoor household"... the paths connect each area like hallways. We were fortunate to enjoy the best yurt on the premises, with its own kitchen-trailer area nearby. The time spent was dry, clean and comfortable, yet it was the middle of January. Froze outside every night, poured rain half the time, and the best place to be was that yurt. Something about a round structure to change your world-view ... and heat yer tea up on the woodstove!
