Thank you for welcome us in your paradise!!! It was really relaxing and different from our stressing life... I think i could be there for a long time!!! We love to discover new things from our portuguese heritage: the Schist Villages ( Piodão , Chiqueiro, Talasnal, Casal Novo etc... ), the small rivers, the montains tracks. I already miss the yurt, the stars, the hammocks and the sound of crikets... and the sweet sweet cats. All the best in the world

What a lovely stay we've had here - I can't believe it's whooshed past so quickly! The yurt is such a beautiful, peaceful space and it's been a wonderful home for the week. Thanks for your hospitality and the delicious produce too. We've had such a good time exploring all your river swimming recommendations - our favourites were Fraga de Pena, Avô, and Secarias for the perfect BBQ spot. And of course the little swimming pool for morning and moonlit dips.

The big yurt (where we stayed) was very comfortable for a family of 4 with a really peaceful ambience and positioned in a fantastic spot on the quinta. The Quinta is so well situated, close to swimming rivers for those hot days and peaceful enough to just sit around reading a book. The children loved it also - they wanted to pack the dogs and kittens into our bags!

My first experience with yurts and permaculture was at Quinta das Abelhas ... it was a new world, to see how the old terraces of Central Portugal had become a huge, integrated "outdoor household"... the paths connect each area like hallways. We were fortunate to enjoy the best yurt on the premises, with the kitchen-trailer area nearby. The time spent was dry, clean and comfortable, yet it was the middle of January. Froze outside every night, poured rain half the time, and the best place to be was that yurt. Something about a round structure to change your world-view ... and heat yer tea up on the woodstove!

The very first thing we realised about Portugal is the total contrast to Spain. There are trees everywhere! We found the yurt to be practicable - inviting and the bed every so comfy. The company and food were superb. We have enjoyed the experience and would recommend anyone to try it out. Especially the room with a view, ie. the eco friendly toilet!
