Travel Information

We are about 2 hours drive / train journey from Porto, about 3 hours from Lisbon, and about 6 hours from Faro (Algarve).

Trains & Metro

The best way to enjoy the countryside of Central Portugal on your journey to the quinta - Portuguese trains are clean, cheap, and on time! We can drive you to/from Santa Comba Dão or Carregal do Sal train stations (both about 20 mins drive from the quinta) and for this service we charge 10 euros to cover our time and fuel.

Buses & Coaches in Portugal

Great option for travellers on a budget. Portuguese buses and coaches are cheap, clean, and run on time. Book online and you can choose which seat you'd like! We can drive you to/from Santa Comba Dão (10 euros to cover our time and fuel).

Car Hire

Not an eco-option, but the easiest way to get around if you want to explore the region. We (and our previous guests) recommend Economy Car Hire and if you book via the banner below we will receive a commission which we use to plant trees on the quinta, to help offset the carbon that driving your hire car will produce.

Travel Insurance

World Nomads "believe there is a moral obligation to give a little back to the communities in which we travel" and as well as giving us a small commission for tree planting if you use the banner below to get an insurance quote, they help raise money for community development projects via their Footprints Project.
